Atlantic Forest birds exhibit peak vocal and feeding activity during the first two hours of daylight. Early access allows birders to experience the forest without heat, midday sun, tourist crowds, or noise disturbance.
The main Falls circuit offers panoramic views of the waterfalls with heavy foot traffic. The 9-kilometer Poço Preto Trail is a dedicated ecological sanctuary designed for wildlife observation, deep forest immersion, and peaceful birding away from crowds.
The terrain along Poço Preto Trail is mostly flat and easy to navigate. Because this tour is 100% private, the walk pace, distance, and breaks are completely customized to your preference.
We recommend wearing muted, neutral-colored clothing (greens, tans, khakis), long pants, sturdy walking shoes, insect repellent, sun hat, reusable water bottle, camera equipment, and binoculars.
